New Balance team up with artist/designer/director Bryant Giles for an update of the 2002R mule. Dubbed by Giles himself as “The Artist’s Shoe”, the mule is a practical approach to studio workwear, providing unmatched comfort and ease during long studio hours. Giles draws from a particularly personal source of inspiration, his own pair of customised, grey 992s. The 2002R reinterprets the hand-drawn alterations made to the 992 as embroidered, original artwork.
